What is the difference between Paper based and Digital Exam (TESTDAF)?
The Digital and Paper-based TestDaF share a similar structure, both comprising a Core Test/Module and a Subject Module. However, the formats differ in important ways. The Digital TestDaF is designed specifically for computer administration and features distinct task types compared to the Paper-based version, which uses pen and paper. Despite these differences, both versions assess the same abilities, and their results are comparable. Another key distinction is test duration. The Paper-based TestDaF takes approximately 4-5 hours, including a 30-minute break, while the Digital TestDaF is shorter, lasting about 3 hours. Furthermore, the Digital TestDaF offers a choice of six fields of study for the subject module, whereas the Paper-based version provides four options.
